The Beam network is now available for use by the first wave of game developers, transitioning from a testnet to mainnet. The network will operate under a Proof of Authority (PoA) consensus method, with reputable authorities authenticating smart contracts. Developers must be whitelisted to deploy contracts and no custody of assets on Beam is held by node operators or multisig signers. The network will transition to a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus method in the future. Documentation and tools are available for developers interested in building on Beam.
